The story of Exodus has been the basis of many movies and miniseries over the years. In it, God sends plagues on Egypt and brings His people out of slavery by parting the Red Sea.

But it’s more than just a good story.

Exodus perfectly foreshadows the way Jesus rescues and redeems us. When we commit to following Jesus, we become part of God’s people and all the promises God makes to Israel become true for us, too. Redemption was not an afterthought with God. It was His plan all along, and it’s something He’s still doing today. Israel’s rescue story is our story.
